On Monday, Kobe Bryant shared a Twitter picture of what many believed was the first glimpse at Lil Wayne‘s album cover for Tha Carter V. However, the rapper’s manager, Cortez Bryant, has announced that the photo is not the official artwork.
“The Image that was posted yesterday is NOT the #carterV album cover!” Cortez explained on Twitter. “It’s just to let the @LilTunechi fans know that CarterV Season is here!“
Last month, Cortez revealed that Wayne’s long-awaited album sounds “amazing,” adding that the disc will not arrive on May 5 as originally planned, though no new release date has been announced.
The newest installment in Tha Carter series will serve as the follow-up to last year’s I Am Not a Human Being II.
