As expected, Trey Songz has scored his second #1 album on the Billboard 200.
According to the publication, the singer’s newly released album, Trigga has debuted atop the chart, selling 105,000 copies in its first week in stores. His last album, 2012’s Chapter V, entered at #1, selling 135,000 copies in its first week.
Despite having the number one album in the country this week, Trey’s sales figures mark his lowest since 2007’s Trey Day opened at #11 with 73,000 copies sold.
Nevertheless, the crooner expressed his gratitude to his fans via Twitter.
“Thank you to everyone who went and spent their hard earned money on my album. #TRIGGA #1 because of you all. I’m forever grateful. #LOVE,” he wrote to his seven-and-a-half million followers.
Robin Thicke‘s Paula claimed the number nine position, selling 24,000 copies.
