Jay Z takes a jab at Drake in a new collaboration with Jay Electronica.
The two joined forces for a remix of Drake and Soulja Boy‘s “We Made It,” which hit the Internet over the weekend. On the track, Jay mocks Drake for telling Rolling Stone recently that Jay’s music contains too many art references.
Jay raps, “Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk/Silly me rappin’ ’bout s*** that I really bought/Why these rappers rap about guns they ain’t shot?/And a bunch of other silly s*** that they ain’t got.”
In his much-publicized interview with Rolling Stone, Drake said of Jay, “It’s like Hov can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references! I would love to collect at some point, but I think the whole rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.”
After the publication of the interview last month, Drake briefly complained that Rolling Stone bumped him from its cover in favor of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. He later issued an apology.
