Missy Elliott has been hit with a lawsuit over allegedly skipping out on a Brazilian TV appearance resulting in the cancellation of two concerts, according to the New York Post’s Page Six.
The rapper is being sued for $75,000, which was the amount of the deposit the suit claims that Missy received back in 2012 to perform in Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre.
Jean Faustin of the Maestro Global Media Group, the man who filed the lawsuit, claims that Missy was a no-show to promote the concerts on Brazilian TV, which caused the concerts to be called off. The suit claims Missy never returned the deposit.
Missy has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
