ABC/Randy HolmesDJ Khaled and Drake officially have the summer on lock with their latest collaboration, “For Free.”
The song, which was released this morning, is produced by the OVO team of Nineteen85 and Jordan Ullman and is inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s interlude on To Pimp a Butterfly as Drake references on the song, singing, “And like your boy from Compton said, you know this d*** ain’t free.”
“For Free” is the first single from Khaled’s forthcoming studio album, Major Key, and the first release under his new joint venture between Epic Records and his own imprint, We the Best Music Group.
Khaled also has said that his upcoming album will feature a slew of artists including, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and a forthcoming song with Jay Z and Future, called “I Got the Keys.”
