Lloyd Bishop/NBCIt appears that Lauryn Hill‘s tax problems are far from over — the R&B-soul singer reportedly has some “new tax issues” to tackle.
“I’m still taking care of past taxes,” Hill tweeted Monday. “This has been an ongoing process, and I have been working steadily towards a resolution. It has been an uphill battle, but we’re getting over the hump.”
Hill allegedly owes $438,211 in taxes, along with an open tax lien of $446,387, as reported by the New York Daily News. It’s unknown if the two past due amounts are related.
Hill is no stranger to tax problems. She served three months in prison in 2013 for failing to pay federal taxes on $1.8 million of income received between 2005 and 2007.
