The rapper’s third album debuted with 363,000 units in its first week, according to Billboard. Of that number, 324,000 copies were comprised of physical album sales.  As a result, Kendrick has scored the second-largest sales week of the year behind Drake‘s surprise project, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, which moved 495,000 units in its opening week. Drake’s latest project has sold an additional 52,000 copies this week.

A humbled Kendrick took to Twitter to thank his fans for his #1 debut. “I Appreciate it,” he simply wrote.
