Facebook.com/RKellyEarlier this month, R. Kelly was showing fresh signs of progress by releasing a new song called “Cookie,” lifted from his highly-anticipated album, Black Panties. Now, however, the crooner has decided to delay his twelfth studio effort, which was originally scheduled to drop on November 11, until December 10.

Kelz announced the news by posting a black-and-white image on Instagram of him working in the studio.  In the accompanying caption, he writes, “So proud of this next album I have to share with ya’ll… It’s official BlackPanties dropping on Tuesday, December 10th.” The set will include his 2 Chainz-assisted single, “My Story,” and “Genius.”

In related news, Kelly appears on Lady Gaga‘s newly released single, “Do What U Want,” which is featured on the pop singer’s upcoming album, ARTPOP.
