Karreuche Tran Wants to Be Known as More than Just Chris Brown’s Ex

Karreuche Tran is ready to re-introduce herself. After making headlines while dating Chris Brown, the actress and model has opened up about redefining her image and standing on her own two feet.

During an interview with HipHollywood.com, Tran explained that she wants to be known for more than dating a famous ex.

“It’s very important at this point because … I’m a business woman and I need to present myself in the best way possible,” Tran revealed.

She continues: “Unfortunately people know me for certain other things that they’ve seen in the media, or whatever it is, so now it’s very important for me to show my personality and show the woman I am and the woman I’m growing to be.”

Last week, Tran’s manager, Jacob York, defended her talent after Brown insinuated that she owes her career to being with him.  “The fact is, no matter who you are or who you know, it requires hard work, integrity and gaining years of experience and failures,” he said of Tran via Instagram. “I see it being perpetuated with my client Karrueche, who some may know as the girl that quietly walked to the side of a superstar for 2 1/2 years.”
