Kanye West to Play Democratic Party Fundraiser with President?

According to published reports, the rapper is planning to appear at a San Francisco fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee next month where President Barack Obama also will appear.

Political reporter Carla Marinucci tweeted a report of the event on Friday, writing, “Whoa! Word is out: President @BarackObama, w performance by @KanyeWest,” identifying the venue as the Warfield theater in San Francisco and the date as October 10. 

Neither Kanye nor the White House nor the DNC has confirmed the appearances, although Marinucci tweeted a link to the DNC website containing an invitation to a high-priced San Francisco fundraiser with no location announced on that date.
