Dave Chappelle welcomed Kanye West as a surprise guest at his show at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on Friday night.
According to Complex, Kanye performed the songs “New Slaves,” “Gold Digger,” and “Jesus Walks.”
‘Ye’s appearance came one week after Chappelle recalled on The Tonight Show his first encounter with the rapper a decade ago. He shared that he was previewing unaired sketches from his Chappelle’s Show when Kanye answered his phone and said, “Hello? No, I can’t. Because I’m at the edit for the Dave Chappelle Show, watching sketches that no one’s seen before.” Kanye then added, “‘Cause my life is dope, and I do dope s***” before hanging up.
Chappelle is in the midst of a residency at Radio City. His upcoming shows will feature Janelle Monae and The Roots, among other artists.
