Perhaps it was a reluctance to read “Mean Tweets” about him, or maybe it was just Kanye being Kanye, but for whatever reason, Kanye West won’t be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week.
The rapper was scheduled to appear on Kimmel’s final show from Austin, Texas, on Friday, but Jimmy announced Wednesday night that West canceled.
“Willie Nelson will be here in studio with us,” Kimmel said of Friday night’s show. “Kanye West was supposed to be here, too but he canceled — or maybe he’s planning to jump on stage unexpectedly to interrupt Willie. So if you do not like Kanye West, make sure to tune in Friday night to not see him,” Kimmel said to cheers.
In 2013, West appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to settle a beef caused by a sketch that spoofed a particularly pretentious interview West gave to the BBC.
