Back in August, Juicy J announced on Twitter that he planned to give female fans an opportunity to win a $50,000 scholarship for college. Now, the rapper has selected a lucky winner from the hundreds of video submissions received over the past few months.
The rapper selected Zaire Holmes, a 19-year-old, full-time mother who opted not to twerk in her video entry.
“50,000 is a lot of money and I just don’t want to waste it on some some chick shaking her ass,” Juicy explained in a YouTube video, in which he surprised Holmes at the Shore Bar in Santa Monica, California.
Holmes, who is also a full-time student at the State College of Florida studying biology, revealed in the video that she read the complete rules before entering the contest.
“A lot of people actually thought that you had to twerk,” she says while holding a large check. “But you just had to read the rules.” She adds that the money will go directly to the State College of Florida for her 2015 tuition.
