Janelle Monae will be one of the performers for the 91st Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting, which takes place on the Ellipse at President’s Park in Washington, D.C. just outside of the White House on Friday, December 6.
The “Electric Lady” will be joined by jazz legend Arturo Sandoval, Latin music superstar Prince Royce and Grammy-winning band Train for this year’s ceremony. Additional performers and special guests will be announced at a later time.
The event will air live on Friday, December 6, 2013 starting at 4:30 p.m. ET, online at TheNationalTree.org. The ceremony will also are throughout the month of December on local PBS stations. Check local listings for details.
