Def Jam RecordsJadakiss returns to number one on Billboard‘s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with his latest album, Top 5 Dead or Alive.
According to the publication, the rapper’s set arrives with 60,000 sold in the week, marking his third chart leader as a solo act and first topper since 2009’s The Last Kiss. Over on the Billboard Artist 100, Jada also debuts at number 44.
“We got the #1 hip hop album in the country! #T5DOA #thankstoyou,” Jada tweeted earlier this week. “I APPRECIATE THE LOVE AND SUPPORT!”
Aside from his solo success, the rapper also had memorable chart moments as part of hip-hop trio The Lox — the trio also scored a number one on the chart in 1998 with Money, Power, Respect, which spawned a top-10 hit on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with its title track.
