Iggy Azalea and Future shared the same release date for their respective albums this week and it seems they are both off to a solid sales start.
According to Hits Daily Double, the Australian rapper’s debut album,The New Classic, is projected to sell between 50,000 to 55,000 copies in the first week. Industry forecasters suggest Iggy will enjoy a top 5 debut on Billboard 200 chart.
Meanwhile, Future’s Honest is expected to sell approximately 45,000 to 50,000 in its first seven days in stores. The album could best the first-week sales of the rapper’s 2012 debut, Pluto, which sold 41,000 copies and landed at number eight on the Billboard 200.
The official sales tally will be released on Wednesday.
