by

ABC/Randy HolmesFetty Wap is standing up for the Paterson, New Jersey principal who was recently suspended after he let the rapper film his drug-themed music video in his high school.

NJ.com reports Fetty apologized Wednesday night during a Paterson Board of Education meeting, showing remorse for the suspended principal of operations at Eastide High School, Zatiti Moody.

“If I disrespected anybody, I came today to apologize, but I also wanted to let people know that I’m a product of my environment,” said Fetty, who was once a student at the school.

Fetty also showed his support for Moody on social media by posting multiple messages, including a video on Instagram to rally support for the suspended principal.

Zatiti Moody was placed on administrative leave June 1st while the district investigates how the “Wake Up” video, which shows drug use and provocative images, was filmed at the school without their knowledge. The district is also investigating whether Moody or anyone from the school received money in exchange for the video shoot.
