Eminem fans were puzzled when he shared a poster for the movie The Equalizer Tuesday on Instagram, but now he’s revealed on Twitter that he’s recorded new music for the film.
The trailer for the movie starring Denzel Washington was released Thursday and it includes a one-minute snippet of a Slim Shady song in the background. Following vocals by Sia, we hear Em saying, “It’s too late to start over… it’s the only thing I, thing I know.” Sia was previously featured on “Beautiful Pain” from The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
In the film which was inspired by the 1980’s TV series of the same name, Washington portrays a former covert commando who comes out of his retirement in Boston to battle Russian gangsters in order to save a young girl.
The Equalizer opens September 26.
