Image Courtesy Eric McCandless/CBSA concert film capturing a sold-out performance Drake gave before he landed a recording contract with Young Money, will hit theaters next month for a special, one-night-only screening.

Homecoming: The Lost Footage, captures Drizzy’s sold-out homecoming performance at Toronto’s Sound Academy in 2009.  Additional production and footage was added to the concert film including interviews with Rap-a-Lot Records CEO James Prince and his son Jas Prince, who brought Drake to the attention of Little Wayne.

The movie will be shown in select theaters on March 19 at 7:30 p.m. local time.  To find local theaters visit the Fathom Events website.

In a statement, Jas Prince says, “When I first listened to Drake I had no idea he was on a hit show, I just fell in love with his sound and talent —  it was unique and like nothing I had ever heard before. I told him during our first conversation I would make him a star. This film documents the beginning of that journey.”
