Metropolitan PresentsDiana Ross‘ number-one hit “Love Hangover,” celebrated its 40th anniversary in March — and to commemorate the occasion, Universal Music Enterprises will re-release Diana Ross’ self-titled Motown album on July 15 in vinyl form.
The album made it to number five on the Billboard 200 chart and contained another number-one hit, “Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You’re Going To)” — from the film starring Ross and Billy Dee Williams.
“Love Hangover” originally debuted in 1976 and became a Billboard Hot 100, Hot Soul Single and Hot Dance Club Play hit within the year. It was also nominated for a Grammy award for Best R&B Female Vocal Performance and helped to reinvent Ross’ image as a disco dancing queen.
