Kid Cudi should probably send a thank-you card to Beyonce, because using her tactic of surprise in releasing his latest album, Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon, has resulted in his project skyrocketing to number one on the iTunes chart.
“Went to sleep #1, woke up #1. God is awesome 🙂 blessings,” Cudi tweeted. “Happiest kid in the universeeeeeeeee. LOVE U MY CUD FAM!! VIBE ON AND TAKE OVER THE WORLD!”
Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon is projected to amass between 90,000 to 95,000 sales in its opening week, according to some industry forecasters.
In addition to dropping the album, Cudi is gearing up to star in the upcoming DreamWorks film, Need for Speed, arriving in theaters March 13.
