Back in July, Chris Brown and Drake officially ended their beef which famously led to a physical altercation over Rihanna outside a Los Angeles nightclub in 2012. Now, Breezy has explained how they were able to get past their differences.
“We’re young, so it’s not like [we had] a pow wow over tea or nothing. It didn’t need to be explained,” he tells MTV News. “It wasn’t no problem.”
He also revealed how their recent appearance on the ESPY Awards came together. “[Drake’s] camp actually called me to do the skit. Especially after getting out of jail, I didn’t have any animosity towards anybody,” Brown recalls. “I wanted to be able to bring light to the situation and just grow up. I’m 25 and I’m not getting younger.”
The singer realized that you shouldn’t “walk around holding grudges, looking over your shoulder and being negative all the time.” He adds, “I’m tired of being looked at as the aggressor, so I just wanted to show my maturity.”
Over the summer, the artists were photographed together in the studio. During his interview with MTV, Brown confirmed that they were cooking up new material, which could land on Drizzy’s upcoming album, Views from the 6, or Brown’s joint project with Tyga.
