Kevin Mazur/WireImageT.I. made his return to the performance stage Tuesday night, as the rapper joined DJ Khaled at Citi Field in Queens for Beyonce‘s World Tour.
Before the Queen Bey honored Prince during a special tribute celebrating what would have been the music legend’s 58th birthday, the rapper joined the self-proclaimed “king of the Snapchat,” performing “Bring ‘Em Out” as part of Khaled’s set.
This is the first time the Atlanta rapper has been seen on stage since the May 25th Irving Plaza shooting, where a gunman opened fire backstage, killing Troy Ave‘s bodyguard and leaving three others, including the New York rapper, injured. Ave has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting.
After the incident, TI offered up his thoughts in an Instagram message. “My heart is heavy today. Our music is intended to save lives, like it has mine and many others.”
