To celebrate Def Jam’s 30th anniversary, the label has announced plans to hold a concert at the Brooklyn’s Barclay Center on October 16.
The upcoming event will feature performances from the label’s biggest stars including Ashanti, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, DMX, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Jhené Aiko, Onyx, Method Man, Redman, Ja Rule, Warren G, EPMD and Jeremih.
“I’m very excited to be a part of such a special announcement — Def Jam Recordings 30th Anniversary Concert at the iconic Barclays Center — which solidifies and continues the enduring mark the brand has made on pop culture,” said Steve Bartels, CEO of Def Jam Recordings in a statement. “As the birthplace of hip-hop, there is no better place to celebrate such a cultural touchstone than in New York City itself.”
Tickets will go on sale Friday, August 22, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com.
