Lots to look forward to in tomorrow’s new releases, we have the Good, the Bad, and the Sexy! So let’s not waste a minute getting to the “Good”.
August Alsina: I’ve been singing the praises of this young, New Orleans native for quite some time now. He has a voice that any woman would love to hear serenade her, and it doesn’t hurt that he has an edginess that makes him visually appealing. He previously released two free mixtapes online, “The Product” and “The Product 2″ hosted by DJ Drama which showed his skills of remixing hit’s like “Bandz” and “Ode To My Project Chicks” and featured the current buzz worthy record “I Love This S*it” featuring Trinidad James. With all of his hard work, he landed on Def Jam records and will be releasing his first EP as a major artist, Downtown: Life Under The Gun. The EP features Trinidad James, Kidd Kidd, Rich Homie Quan and Curren$y. Check out his video for “Downtown” here
Now where there is Good, there has to be some Bad. This “Bad” however is VERY good.
A$AP Ferg: I had the pleasure of meeting A$AP Ferg a few months back and he is a “Bad Boy” that every girl is going to love! He has a street edge that is appealing and a little intimidating at the same time. Growing up in Hip-Hop as an apprentice to his father, who designed the Bad Boy logo for Puffy and did alot of graphics and shirt designs for prominent artists in New York, A$AP’s roots in fashion and Hip-Hop run deep. Ferg is quick to say that although he appreciated everything he learned from his father but he is definitely doing things his way. With recognition by Rollingstone.com as an “Artist to Watch” within the A$AP Mob, and a bold verse on “Ghetto Symphony,” a track on the deluxe version of A$AP Rocky’s chart-topping debut albumLONG.LIVE.A$AP, the melodic wordsmith A$AP Ferg has set the path for a promising 2013. His recent smash record “Work” was cited as “…one of the year’s breakout anthems” by The New York Times and this past spring, he was the opening act on “Bandz A Make Her Dance” rapper Juicy J sold-out “Stay Trippy Tour.” Recently, A$AP Ferg kicked-off the summer by delivering a electrifying performance at this year’s BET Awards 106 & Park pre-show. Now A$AP Ferg is ready to stand on his own with his debut album, Trap Lord. Selected as one of the “Most Anticipated Albums of Summer 2013” by lifestyle publication Complex.com, The 13-song Trap Lord includes special guest appearances by hip-hop legends Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, Onyx, and B-Real (from Cypress Hill), with additional appearances by Waka Flocka Flame and Aston Matthews. This is my favorite song on the album “Shabba” check out the video here
Now to the Sexy, and nothing is more sexy than these 3 artists!
TGT: Do you remember the first time you tasted Neapolitan ice cream and you was like “Wow, I can have all 3 flavors at once!!” Well get ready to feel that same feeling again with Tank, Ginuwine and Tyrese’s new album 3 Kings. These three superheros’ of R&B have joined forces to “Save R&B, and bring it back to its roots”. There are songs of love, loss and of course lots of sex on 3 Kings, with the hit single “Sex Never Felt Better” taking over airwaves nationwide and the follow up single “I Need” this is one album that you will want to add to your “Bedroom” collection. There’s even a little surprise on the album, Black-Ty makes an appearance! Check out the “Sex Never Felt Better” video here
