Inside this week’s Artist Take 5, I got a chance to catch up with songwriter, producer and R&B singer J. Oliver. Originally from Baltimore, J. Oliver was raised in a household that didn’t allow secular music but it didn’t stop him from wanting to be a part of the Hip-Hop and R&B world. And in 2013 J. Oliver became just that, a part of the Hip-Hop world. He received placement on Meek Mill’s album with “Ain’t Me” and on Kirko Bangz’s album with “Old Ways” and landed on French Montana’s debut album with “I Told ‘Em”. This led to a relationship with T. Cole who already had credits with Chris Brown and Usher. The two have been collaborating on J. Oliver’s upcoming project that will be released in early Spring, 2014. Take a listen to what J. Oliver has in store for 2014….
