Mariah Carey Rushed To The Hospital With Shoulder Injury

Mariah Carey was rushed to the hospital Sunday night because she dislocated her shoulder on the set of her new video. Carey’s spokeswoman, Cindi Berger, confirmed to the NYPost that “Mariah was injured while filming a video for the remix of ‘#Beautiful’ directed by her husband, Nick Cannon,” that “she was taken to the hospital late [Sunday] night” and that “she is fine and is recovering at home.” The songstress had created a new mix of her hit “#Beautiful,” which was originally recorded with Miguel and rapper Young Jeezy, and they were filming a video for the new track, watched over by Cannon, at the Chelsea club Avenue. Mariah tripped and fell while dancing and singing in her trademark high heels while shooting the video. She was taken to the hospital in a private car and stayed overnight. But despite the injury, she still plans to appear on Central Park’s Great Lawn on Saturday in a free concert with Major League Baseball to benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief. A source said, “Mariah will perform but it is likely that she will have her arm in a sling.”
