Beyoncé received a warm welcome when her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour traveled through Auckland, New Zealand, last week. The diva posted a brief video on her official YouTube page of the local Maori people greeting her with the Haka ancestral war dance.
The video’s description reads, “Before International Rugby matches, the New Zealand All Blacks perform the Haka, a traditional war dance meant to intimidate the opponent. It is also used to honor a distinguished guest. After Beyoncé’s October 19 show in Auckland the local crew welcomed her with a Haka.”
Beyonce quickly joined in by giving her best warrior face and shouting along with the intimidating crew.
Now that the diva has wrapped up her New Zealand dates she will play major cities in Australia, beginning Friday, October 25 in Melbourne, before heading back to North America for more dates, starting November 30 in Vancouver.
