Steve Jennings/Getty Images for TechCrunchWhat’s better than watching your favorite YouTube video in 360? Watching it in 360, with Snoop Dogg.
Go to YouTube this morning and you’ll see a little silhouette of the rapper’s head at the bottom of the video frame, just to the left of the Settings button. Click it, and you’ll be taken to a video explaining how YouTube and Snoop have teamed up for what they’re calling SnoopaVision — “the ability to watch every video, with Snoop Dogg.”
After the video, you’ll also be offered about a half-dozen or so familiar hit YouTube videos enhanced with SnoopaVision — which is basically footage of Snoop sitting, watching and reacting to the videos with a few other folks. It’s cute, in a mildly entertaining way.
Also cute: when you click on the SnoopaVision button while watching any video on YouTube, you’ll be a banner at the top of the next page declaring when SnoopaVision will be available for that video. It’s apparently gonna take Snoop a long time to watch every video YouTube offers, because some of the availability dates are two centuries or more in the future.
Of course, it’s no coincidence that YouTube is offering SnoopaVision on April 1st.
