You may have heard recently that Wiz Khalifa sues label and manager in a dispute over his 360 deal. He is suing his former manager in an attempt to terminate a contract he signed in 2005.
Khalifa is asking for $1 million plus punitive damages and legal fees, Rolling Stone reports. The Pittsburgh rapper is charging that Benjy Grinberg and Rostrum Records profited off “virtually every aspect of [Khalifa’s] professional life.”
Why Wiz Khalifa Sues Label and Manager?
The suit accuses Grinberg and Rostrum of putting their interests ahead of his own and failing to keep him informed about business dealings.
In a statement to the magazine Grinberg calls the suit “egregious” and “filled with innacuracies.””To witness an artist turn on you after supporting them for a number of years is very disheartening,” he says
Grinberg signed Khalifa in 2005 when the rapper was 16 years old. Khalifa fired him as his personal manager in March 2014.
