Miko Lim/Atlantic RecordsWiz Khalifa has scored another chart-topping single on the Billboard Hot 100 with “See You Again,” lifted from the Furious 7 soundtrack.
According to the publication, the rapper’s Charlie Puth-assisted track jumps from #10 to the top slot, on the back of the largest weekly sales for a single this year with 464,000 digital downloads.
The soundtrack to the action movie also tops the Billboard 200 — the last time a soundtrack and a single from that soundtrack simultaneously hit #1 was back in November 2002 when the 8 Mile soundtrack and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” topped the charts.
“See You Again” is Khalifa’s second chart-topper, following his 2011 single “Black and Yellow.”
