Will VH1 Viewers Criticize Jim Jones for Cursing Around His 10-Year-Old Son?

VH1Jim Jones has introduced VH1 viewers into many facets of his life, including his love life with fiancée Chrissy Lampkin, his family life with his outrageous mother, Momma Jones, and even his music life. On the second season of Chrissy & Mr. Jones, viewers will finally get to see the rapper as a father when Joseph “Pudie” Jones, Jr. comes to live with him for the first time ever. Will viewers like what they see, especially when Jim can’t seem to stop cursing around his 10-year-old son on the season’s premiere episode?

“I don’t care about what people think about my parenting. I take care of my child,” Jim tells ABC News Radio. “I do a lot of great things for my son. He goes to a great school. He gets a good education. He has a good love of family….He has fun. He gets to know the difference between what it is to live a great life and still be down to earth.”

“When it comes to me, I don’t wanna hide or curb anything from him,” the 37-year-old rapper explains. “I want him to be able to know the difference between what his father does and what’s right…I’m no different. So, when I do curse, I do correct myself in the same manner.”

Jim’s longtime fiancée Chrissy agrees with his approach. “I think he’s a great father. He’s also friends with his son, but his son knows to respect him as his father. But they’re like two big kids together,” she adds.

Chrissy loves being a stepmother to Pudie, so much so that she’s even changed her mind and decided to have children of her own. Last year, Chrissy told ABC News Radio that she was “scared to death of children” and had planned to freeze her embryos in an effort to delay childbearing. Now, she admits, “I’m not gonna freeze them. I’m just gonna go ahead and have one. [I’m] scared to death, but I’ve decided that that’s what I’m gonna do.”

Watch as Jim and Chrissy expand their family and hone their parenting skills on the second season of Chrissy & Mr. Jones, which premieres Monday, October 28 at 9 PM ET/PT.
