Wale has enlisted J. Cole to contribute guest verses on his upcoming effort, entitled Album About Nothing.
The new collaboration marks their fourth time sharing a beat. “I’m working a lot,” the rapper recently told MTV News. “I’m doing a lot with J. Cole.”
The rapper has also recruiter famed producer DJ Premier on the follow-up to last year’s The Gifted. “I worked with DJ Premier so far. And I’m working with a lot of producers under my camp, Every Blue Moon,” he adds. Every Blue Moon is the rapper’s multimedia imprint.
So what can fans expect? Wale explains that he’s making “music from the heart.”
“My emotions are the colors. My emotions are the accents to the picture that I’m painting,” he says. “Without those, you got a bland-ass picture. Everybody can’t be the dope boy, extra cocky, swag. Nah, I’m natural. I feel like the dichotomy of a human being should show in your music.”
Album About Nothing is scheduled to arrive this fall on Every Blue Moon.
