University of Missouri All-American defensive end Michael Sam is expected to be drafted in the first few rounds of the NFL Draft in April. This weekend, Michael publicly came out as a homosexual, putting himself in position to be the first openly gay active professional football player. Our question is, in 2014, have we moved far along enough as a society that this is a non-issue? Or do you think an athlete’s sexual orientation is still noteworthy?
