Earlier this week, Usher shared several studio pictures via Instagram to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his Confessions album. Promising fans that he is working hard on “something special,” the crooner has logged studio time with Rico Love.
On Wednesday, the singer shared a black-and-white image of himself alongside the in-demand singer/songwriter, who is responsible for “There Goes My Baby” and “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” lifted from Usher’s 2010 album, Raymond v. Raymond.
“We at it again!!!Mr. TTLO @iamricolove. My n***a 4 life!!!” Usher wrote in the caption and added the hashtags “#classic” “#timeless” “#immortalmusic.”
Rico, who penned “Throwback” from Confessions, also hailed the significance of their collaboration via his Instagram page. “Exactly 10 years later and I’m in the studio recording some incredible music with the man who gave me my start. Confessions changes my life. Thank you Usher. Let’s do it again bro! #TTLO,” he wrote in the caption.
Love added, “Spent the past few days creating classic music w/my favorite artist/big brother @howuseeit.”
Fans can expect Usher’s next album to also include contributions from Pharrell Williams. The set is slated to arrive later this year and will serve as the follow-up to 2012’s Looking 4 Myself.
