Despite an earlier pledge not to, Kanye West‘s much-discussed album, The Life of Pablo, is now available on major streaming services.
It’s been a Tidal exclusive since its release in mid-February. However, it debuted Friday morning on iTunes and Apple Music, Spotify, and Google Play. It remains available on Tidal, as well as on Kanye’s official website.
Def Jam announced the news Friday morning, saying a “newly updated, remixed and remastered version” of The Life of Pablo was available, in what it called the “next steps in the groundbreaking windowed release strategy for [West’s] his ‘living’ album project, The Life of Pablo.”
The label also noted, “In the months to come, Kanye will release new updates, new versions and new iterations of the album,” adding that it is a “continuous process.”
Kanye had previously vowed to release his album on Tidal only, saying he would never put it up for sale.
