ABC RadioTinashe is already looking forward to 2016, mainly because she is preparing to release her upcoming, sophomore album, Joyride. The singer tells ABC Radio that she can’t wait for fans to hear it.
“It’s coming out really soon, I’m so excited. I’ve been working on it for a while, so I think the fans are going to like it. It’s definitely a progression of my last album and I’m excited,” she says.
For now, fans will have to make do with her latest single, “Player” featuring Chris Brown. Tinashe explained to ABC Radio what inspired the flirty song.
“The song was inspired by just, you know, going through relationships and dealing with those feelings of being young and knowing that maybe this relationship isn’t something that’s going to last forever,” she says. “But you know there’s still something that, like, draws you to that person and that’s really what kind of what the song is about.”
Joyride, which features contributions from Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Hit-Boy, Travi$ Scott, Nic Nac and Dev Hynes, is due in January.
