Image Courtesy Universal/InsterscopeEarlier this month, The Game hinted he was planning a summer release for the sequel to his debut album, The Documentary. Now, the rapper has given us the official release date.
During an interview with Revolt TV, the rapper revealed the set will arrive June 30, a date that’s also the birthday of his eldest son, Harlem.
“His birthday falls on a Tuesday, which is the day music is released to the world,” said Game. “It’s kinda perfect timing.”
He adds, “Being a father and making music, since the beginning of my career, that’s been my everyday motivation. I use my kids as energy.”
The Documentary 2 will include the lead single “The Soundtrack,” featuring Meek Mill, which is available now from digital retailers.
