Image Courtesy Universal/InsterscopeTo commemorate a career milestone, The Game is planning a special event: an anniversary concert to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of his debut album, The Documentary, which arrived January 18, 2005.
The rapper announced the news via Instagram, and included a photo of the album’s artwork. “Los Angeles: This is the 1st & only time I will ever do this in my career in my city…. ONE NIGHT ONLY…. January 18th marks the 10 Year Anniversary [of] my Classic Album,” he wrote in the caption. “I will be having a 10 Year Anniversary concert Sunday January 18th !!!”
He adds that he will perform the album its entirety along with special guests and a few surprises. “You do not want to miss this sh** !!! No work or school on Monday due to the Martin Luther King holiday so you know we can get turnt up Sunday night,” he adds.
Game’s anniversary concert will be held at The Belasco in Los Angeles, California; tickets are available now via TicketWeb.com.
The Documentary debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart with 586,000 copies sold in the first week, and it spawned the hit singles “How We Do” and “Hate It or Love It” with 50 Cent.
