Image Courtesy Island Def JamThe-Dream is getting ready to release two new EPs: Crown and Jewel.

The singer announced that the first, Crown, will be released on March 31 via his just launched Contra Paris label. Later in the year, the crooner plans to release Jewel.

While both reuniting him his production partner Tricky Stewart, The-Dream says the albums differ.

Crown is more modern R&B, and Jewel will be more what you might think of as my songwriter side, the songs I might have given to other artists before,” The-Dream explains to Vibe. “If you put me in a box, Jewel is more what you get when that box is open. But I’m not limited by any box I’ve been put in — every year I’m expanding and growing, and it makes for a more interesting plot.”

To get fans excited, he has premiered the lyric video for his explicit single, “That’ My Sh**” featuring T.I., which was posted on Vevo.
