L-R: Taylor Swift, Jay Z, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West at the 2015 Grammys; Kevin Mazur/WireImageThe feud between Kanye West and Taylor Swift over a conversation he had with her concerning his song “Famous” just got uglier.
A series of Snapchats posted by Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West on Sunday reveals parts of the phone conversation between the two music stars, while drawing an angry tweet from Taylor in response.
In one of Kim’s posts, Kanye can be heard saying that he doesn’t “want to do rap that makes people feel bad.”
“Um, yeah go with whatever line you think is better,” replies Taylor, noting, “It’s obviously very tongue-in-cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice.”
“Relationships are more important than punchlines,” says Kanye, to which Taylor responds, “I don’t think anybody would listen to that and think that’s a real diss, like, she must be crying.”
Adds Taylor, “You’ve gotta tell the story the way that it happened to you…You honestly didn’t know who I was before that. It doesn’t matter that I sold seven million of that album before you did that…you didn’t know who I was before that. It’s fine.”
However, in a lengthy Twitter post captioned, “That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet,” Taylor asks, “Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that b****’ in his song?”

She goes on to insist that Kanye promised to play the song for her, but never did, adding, “You cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard.”
“Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination,” she concludes. “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”
