Looks like Mary J. Blige isn’t the only R&B singer gearing up to release a Christmas album later this year. Tamar Braxton has announced that she is working on her very first holiday album, which is being described as holiday project with “swagger and soul.”
The set will include original songs and classics with the “Tamar” touch. According to a press release, the forthcoming disc, which has yet to be titled, will arrive on October 22.
The news comes on the heels of Tamar’s sophomore album, Love and War, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 114,000 copies. To promote the disc, the reality TV star will join John Legend on his Made to Love tour, beginning next month.
The singer’s Braxton Family Values spin-off and hit series, Tamar & Vince, airs every Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET on WE tv.
