Tamar Braxton-Herbert is known for her vocal abilities but she claims her son, Logan Vincent, isn’t impressed.
“He doesn’t [care for] singing that much,” she told People at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. on Saturday while walking the red carpet before the taping of the 2014 BET Honors, which airs Feb. 24 at 9 p.m. ET on BET.
“When I was pregnant with him,and he used to ball up real hard. And he does the same thing,” she says. “He just stares at me, like, ‘What are you doing?'”
Tamar also revealed that although Logan isn’t crawling yet, her son reminds her a lot of her husband, Vince Herbert.
“I’m ready for him to crawl so I can have him crawl around the bed and pick him up and do all that cutesy stuff, but he refuses. He’s very insubordinate — just like his dad,” she says.
After giving birth almost a year ago, Tamar shared how she was able to get her body back in shape. “I had to stop with the food. I tasted everything when I was pregnant — from the rooter to the tooter of the pig,” she says jokingly. Like Beyonce, Tamar adds, she almost tried a vegan diet, but love of ice cream and Doritos got in the way.
Viewers will see Tamar in a body-clinging gold gown on the BET Honors during her tribute to Motown legend Berry Gordy. Braxton performed the Diana Ross classics “Upside Down” and “Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You’re Going To).”
