SWV lead singer Coko reveals, in a teaser for the group’s new SWV Reunited reality show, that she had a cancer scare when she discovered a lump in her left breast.
In a preview of the WE tv show posted on the network’s website, Coko talks with her husband Mike Clemons about her decision not to inform the group members about her condition. She says, “I don’t feel comfortable telling Taj and Lelee about my breast cancer scare because I don’t feel like they’re my sisters. We haven’t been tight in many, many years and this is my personal business and I want to keep it to myself.” She adds, “If it turns out that I have breast cancer, that’s the end of this SWV comeback, period.”
SWV reunited in 2012 after a 14 year hiatus and earned a 2013 Best Traditional R&B Performance Grammy nomination for “If Only You Knew.” Their new reality show, SWV Reunited, debuts Thursday January 16 at 10 p.m. on WE tv.
