Snoop Dogg Would Have Been an R&B Singer If There Was No Rap Music

ABC/Randy HolmesSnoop Dogg had other dreams if beside being the hardcore rapper that the world knows him as.

In an interview with The New York Times, the rap legend says that his new album BUSH serves as a nod to his singing aspirations.

“There’s a void for that style of music,” says Snoop of his new groovy music. “I think if rap never came out, I’d have been a R&B singer. I would have been like Rick James, though — an edgy renegade.”

Snoop’s upcoming album, BUSH, is slated to arrive May 12. The set is executive produced by Pharrell.
