ABC/Randy HolmesSnoop Dogg is reviving his Doggy Style Records label, and he’s dropping a new album this summer.
Snoop casually made the announcement during a live Facebook video, saying, “Oh my album? July 1.”
The Long Beach rapper also invited aspiring artists to submit their music for his label. He said, “My goal is to put out 100 singles before August. If you have a hot single… We may do a showcase and have you possibly perform and get you a record deal. The main thing is getting out great music to represent the generation that ain’t got a voice right now.”
Snoop’s new album is titled The Return of Doggystyle, which he is calling a sequel to his 1993 debut album, Doggystyle.
