The singer took to Instagram to reveal her thought process in choosing that title. “The moment before something great happens…you can feel it! This album is my ‘something great.’ My thoughts, desires, fears, tears, emotional ups, downs, good times, drunken nights & unforgettable memories all rolled up into one body of work,” she wrote.
Sevyn continues, “We’re all ‘ON THE VERGE’ of something — whether it’s a wild night, a break up or a breakthrough! I’ve experiences all of the above & I’m ready for whatever else the world throws at me. That’s why I chose ‘ON THE VERGE’ as my album title.”
She adds: “2 record deals in, but 3rd one was the charm, Nothing can kill this moment, this experience & the overwhelming feeling of anticipation for the journey I’m about to go on with my fans!”
On the Verge will arrive later this year. Meanwhile, Sevyn has revealed that she filmed a video for her next single “4th Street,” which was shot in her hometown of Haines City, Florida. “I’m so excited for you guys to see it!” she wrote, along with the official artwork for the song.
