Before he proposed to Naya Rivera, Big Sean had a long-time girlfriend named Ashley, who inspired his latest single, “Ashley” featuring Miguel. In the accompanying video, the rapper recalls his relationship with his high school sweetheart before they split up in early 2013.
Big Sean shows off his acting chops in the twisted video, which sees his ex, alongside her new beau, knocking him unconscious kidnapping him. When he regains consciousness, the rapper finds himself sitting tied up and witnesses his topless ex making out with her boyfriend.
At one point, Sean breaks away from his captors only to be caught and taken out to the dessert where he digs his own grave. Just before the clip ends, Sean attempts to fight back and a gun shot is heard before the video fades to black.
Complete with nudity and graphic violence, the video was posted to Sean’s official YouTube page.
The song appears on his latest album, Hall of Fame.
