DMX will not step into the boxing ring with George Zimmerman, who was acquitted last year of murder in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. The promoter of the rumored celebrity boxing match says the event has been called off.
Damon Feldman tweeted that the match has been cancelled. The decision was made after he wound on on the receiving end of public criticism.
Feldman wrote, “Done with George Zimmerman if you had a major payday sitting in front of you, I know no one else would walk away like I did ***Next!!”
DMX’s rep told ABC News Radio last week that the match was not confirmed. It was rumored to be scheduled for March.
