Was Rihanna’s “FreePalestine” Tweet an Error?

by

ABC/Richard HarbaughRihanna tweeted a message praying for peace and an end to the conflict in the Middle East on Tuesday, but not before she created a small controversy of her own.

A tweet that appeared on Rihanna’s account on Tuesday morning stated, “#FreePalestine.” However, she deleted it eight minutes after it was posted because it reportedly was published in error, a source tells TMZ.

The source explains that Rihanna was reading about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, when she clicked on a link.  Then, all of a sudden her fans were asking her why she was pro-Palestine.

The source says, “She deleted it because it was never meant to be tweeted.  She didn’t even realize it was a tweet until she started hearing from her fans.”

Rihanna has since published a tweet that reads, “Let’s pray for peace and a swift end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict! Is there any hope?….”
